Our client is based in Mumbai, India, is providing investment and insurance services to clients based on their needs. Insurance (life insurance, health insurance, fire, theft, burglary, car, etc.), and Investments (Mutual Funds, Company Fixed Deposits, Bonds, Debentures, Share Broking, PMS) are all under one roof.

The Job

Role Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Business Development in Mumbai. As part of this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding the company's customer base in the Mumbai area. This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai.

Key responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation:

- Conduct cold calls to potential clients to introduce our wealth management services and set up meetings.

- Utilize online networking platforms like LinkedIn to identify and engage with prospective clients.

- Respond to inquiries from various channels such as the company website, social media, and email campaigns.

2. Networking:

- Attend industry conferences, seminars, and other networking events to build relationships and gather leads.

- Join and actively participate in relevant professional groups and associations to increase visibility and credibility.

Content and Social Media Engagement:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote webinars, seminars, and other events aimed at lead generation.

- Share and promote content through social media channels to attract and engage potential clients.

3. Email Marketing:

- Assist in creating and sending targeted email campaigns to educate and nurture leads.

- Follow up on leads generated from email campaigns to schedule meetings or provide additional information.

Partnerships and Referrals:

- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and professional contacts to create referral opportunities.

- Manage and promote client referral programs to encourage existing clients to refer new prospects.

4. Lead Management:

- Qualify leads to determine their potential and ensure a good fit with our services.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with prospects and clients in the CRM system.

5. Report on lead generation activities and outcomes, providing insights into what strategies are most effective.

Qualifications

- Prior experience in business development or a related field

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good understanding of the insurance and investment industry

- Knowledge of local market trends and customer preferences

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field industry

- Brief knowledge of mutual funds/shares/banking is preferred.
