Business Development Role - Defense & Aerospace (5-10 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand EMS sales within the defense and aerospace sectors.
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers in ODMs and major defense/aerospace organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and offering tailored EMS solutions.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation to contract negotiations and closing deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, supply chain, and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to EMS and defense/aerospace sectors.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance market presence.
- Prepare and present compelling business proposals, sales pitches, and financial models to potential clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the EMS industry, specifically working with ODMs.
- Strong knowledge of defense and aerospace sector requirements, compliance standards, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex client relationships.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers in the defense/aerospace ecosystem.
- Familiarity with government contracts, ITAR compliance, and industry certifications (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
- Existing network of contacts within defense and aerospace procurement teams.
