Business Development Role - Cloud Data Solutions (6-8 yrs)
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, Business Development Executive to join our Databricks Center of Excellence. You will play a key role in driving business growth for our
Databricks vertical by identifying new clients, pitching our services to them and formalizing business contracts to deliver these services. You will also be expected to manage relationships with existing clients and identify new Databricks use cases with them. Additional responsibilities will include competitive market research, identification of additional strategic opportunities with Databricks and how we can position Eucloid to leverage the same. This is an IC role and the candidate will get to work directly with the Databricks practice head.
The candidate is expected to lead following work-streams:
- Lead Generation and Strategy Formulation : Drive the development and implementation of sales strategies aimed at lead generation and revenue growth. Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and new use cases and market trends.
- Active Sales Funnel : Build, maintain, and optimize an active sales funnel, ensuring a consistent and healthy pipeline of potential business prospects. Utilize CRM tools to track, analyze, and manage sales activities and client interactions.
- Client Outreach and Acquisition : Proactively reach out to potential clients through cold calling, networking, and other direct communication methods to generate new business leads. Develop compelling sales pitches and proposals tailored to prospective clients' specific needs and challenges.
- Existing client relationship management & opportunity identification : Work with existing customers to understand their evolving business challenges, data needs and accordingly propose data solutions built on Databricks to address them. Engage with and contribute to client meetings.
- Partner Relationship Management: Establish, develop, and maintain strong, positive relationships with Databricks Partner, Sales & Professional Services team to drive strategic, long-term business. Ensure partner satisfaction by addressing their needs, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.
Ideal candidate will have following Background and Skills:
Background
- Proven sales track record and prior experience as a business development or sales executive
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in a discipline such as engineering, business, sales & marketing from a Top-Tier institution.
- Minimum 4 years of experience (6+ years a plus) in sales and business development. 2+ years of hands-on experience on cloud-based data solutions is a must. Any experience of Databricks sales will be a huge plus
- High level business understanding of Cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP/Databricks and reporting tools like Tableau, Looker etc
- Track record of working with Big Data & Data Analytics platforms, Data consulting companies and/or major Cloud-service providers is a plus
- Certifications in Databricks and/or AWS/Azure is a plus

- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to build quick rapport
- Ability to handle ambiguity and fast-paced environment, with prior experience in managing senior level stakeholders a plus
- Highly adaptable to change and an excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate
- Time management and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
