- The primary role of the BDR will be to generate leads through a well-structured outbound plan. This will involve researching, prospecting, nurturing and qualifying leads to increase top of the funnel sales pipeline.
- The BDR builds relationships with potential customers, effectively turning cold leads into warm ones. As the first line of communication with prospects, the ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the BD and sales process, excel at researching leads, be analytical and adept at starting new relationships.
- This is a creative position. The BDR will spend each day constantly brainstorming new ideas and employing the most effective tools and methods to generate leads including primary & secondary research, social media, networking, emails, calls, and any new, innovative ways the BDR might dream up.
Objectives of the role :
- Showcase our company's products and services to potential customers
- Generate build relationships by prospecting, nurturing and qualifying cold into warm leads and finding new potential sales opportunities
- Identify best practices to refine the company's lead generation playbook
Ongoing responsibilities :
- Proactively seek new business opportunities
- Build prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
- Send emails, use social media and make calls to generate potential target customers
- Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate solutions
- Set up meetings and calls between prospective customers and inside sales executives
- Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results
- Essential skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with about 4-5 years of experience
- Minimum 2 years as a BDR/SDR with a history of exceeding team targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Adept at customer service and time management
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently
- Strong desire and ability to grow within a sales organization
- Addition bonus qualifications
- Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools
- Experience of emailing and making outbound prospecting calls to the United States
- Prior recruiting industry experience
