Job Description:

BDM is responsible for the following :

Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.

- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.

- Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.

- Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.

- Meet all prospects and present business opportunity

- Maintain relationship with prospects and understand key decision making.

- Present proposal.

- Convert new business and meet sales target.

- Report to Area Manager.

The first store was opened in 2008 in Hyderabad and post which the company has had tremendous success which turned out opening more than 180 stores across all major Indian cities.

In fact, by geographic coverage and revenue they fare better than well established business like Titan.

Ben Franklin did a revenue of upwards of 100 crore for last fiscal year and for the current fiscal they are at an Annual run rate of 200 crore. Very recently, they raised multi million dollars through Private equity route to part fund its expansion to set up their e-commerce subsidiary. The latest round of funding was led by Dabur and they are in talks with other PE players to raise more funding to fund their e-commerce division.

Ben Franklin's direct competition is Lenskart which has monopoly in the indian eyewear market which is set to double to INR 40000. Given its inherent advantage of brick and mortar business, it will soon be a market leader thumping over the companies like Lenskart.
