Business Development - Insurance (10-15 yrs)
Candidates having Sales experience of at-least 10 years in the Insurance Sector. Candidate having, IRDA (and other relevant certification) certification will be preferred Good knowledge of the selected market and customer segments would be an advantage Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes Strong inter-personal skills, which encourages and promotes enthusiasm and team spirit
Job Description :
- To confer with existing clients and maintain a healthy business relationship
- To seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients
- Identifying and developing new streams for revenue growth and maintaining relationships with key customers to achieve repeat/ referral business
- To create and provide effective presentations for corporate clients
- To develop business in all segments such as Small, Medium, Large, Industrial, Hospitality and IT sectors.
- Developing relationships with key institutions & target organizations for business development Meeting with clients, commercial discussion with client and closure of business
- Create a database for the company in specified region across industries and different market segments
- Plan, & implement Sales strategies
- Ability to think and act independently should be a self motivated professional with an ambition to grow and with an inane ability to develop & convince clients.
- Excellent hands on expertise in MS office- Spread sheet, PPTS etc. Prospective candidate should have focus towards a long term association with the company and be quick starters
Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible to drive and close new business sales of Life & General Insurance Products
- Should be able to develop strong rapport with the existing clients and potential customers
- Generate Leads and talk to all the leads and convert them into potential Business.
- Meet sales targets and budgets by Lead generation.
- Close the sale by addressing customer concerns, demonstrating empathy, and consistently moving the customer towards commitment.
- Explain their options to clients and assists them in purchasing appropriate insurance policies.
- Responsible for delivery of the Policy document.
- Accurately record and update the customer's details.
- Coordination with Various Internal Teams.

INTERPERSONAL:
- Excellent communication skills able to build understanding and trust.
- Strong influencer and decision maker. Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Effective team player. People management skills with an ability to partner with a strong leadership team
ANALYTICAL:
- Able to identify and interpret relevant information and key issues. Able to identify problems and make effective decisions.
- Good attention to detail.
TECHNICAL:
- Strong knowledge of general insurance products and awareness of competitor advantage and competitor activity. High level of insurance industry knowledge including an overview of regulatory requirements.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Requirement to develop a strong working knowledge of internal procedures and standards and key regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of system and process capabilities including implementation and delivery of both online and offline sales channels. Highly literate and numerate.
