Brand Manager - Personal Care/Retail (8-14 yrs)
MBA from a reputed 1st to 3rd tier institutes.
- Around 8 years experience out of which at least 3 years should have been in handling brands with independent charge. If brand management experience has been lesser, there should be complementary experience handling marketing activities like digital, communication etc.
- At least 3 years experience in sales at the minimum level of being an area sales manager.
- Experience in handling mid premium to premium brands requiring significant component of digital, on ground, activations ahead of mass brands requiring TV advertising
- Experience in introducing innovations through strong GTM plans
- Not looking at candidates from professional beauty industry. However, experience in other allied industries like B2C beauty, B2C personal care, B2C beauty services, Luxury marketing could be considered. At the same time, open to candidates from most industries who have relevant experience & competencies
- Key competencies required would be as follows:

- A strong consumer orientation : focus on consumer insight and even ahead, empathy for consumer's point of view
- Consumer orientation based on synthesizing informal sources including internal data, personal observations, interactions etc. instead of formal research alone
- The above orientation could be left, right or centre brained. However, if one candidate is strongly left brained, would prefer the other to be strongly right brained
- Ability to convert insight & empathy into powerful programs - communication or engagement or activation
- Exposure to essentials of innovation creation
- Exposure to essentials of business planning
- Proficiency in essentials of digital, social, on ground, events marketing
- Basic understanding of essentials of mass media
- Human Capital
- Entrepreneurial orientation
- High comfort with flux
- High on humility & authenticity
- Could be either passive aggressive or extrovert optimistic. Extrovert Aggressive could be an issue
- Ability to either analyse or intuit. If high ability to intuit, there should not be an aversion to analysis
- An appreciation for synthesis and extrapolation using reasoning
- High on collaboration
