Branch Manager - Bank (4-13 yrs)
Job Title : Branch Manager
Department : Branch
Reports to : Regional Branch Manager
Basic Function of position :
- The primary job function and responsibility of the branch manager is to lead all sales activities for the branch. Some of these activities are developing new deposits, loans, and merchant businesses in the target market.
Responsibilities : Include, but not limited to; Other Duties may be assigned :
- Adhering to all Bank policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all staff comply with Bank compliance.
- Must comply with Bank compliance.
- Understands and follows all robbery, emergency and safety procedures.
- Provides exemplary customer service.
- Responsible for meeting individual, branch and Bank sales goals through business development. These activities can be accomplished through cold calling, networking, managing a portfolio of Centers OF Influence (COI) and sales seminars, etc.
- Ensuring branch profitability. This can be accomplished by increasing fee income, controlling expenses, etc.
- Provide management direction to foster effective selection, development and reward subordinates.
- Oversee and participate in expansion and management of consumer and business account relationships.
- Prepare performance appraisals and disciplinary notices as needed.
- Identify customers with additional profit potential and develop action plans to expand those relationships.
- Open/Close branch in absence of Assistant Manager/Regional Branch Operations Manager.
- Perform other operational tasks in absence of the Assistant Branch Manager/Regional Operations Managers.
- Approves requests and time sheets for the assistant branch manager.
- Approves teller requests and time sheets in the absence of the assistant branch manager.
- Complete all required classes that are assigned by the Compliance Department by December 31st of the year, each year.

- Exemplary mathematical and reading skills.
- Exemplary oral, written, organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent computer skills, computer literacy, and key board skills.
- Displays exemplary customer service and time management.
- Exude excellent professionalism.
- Strong coaching and motivational skills.
Education and Training :
- Bachelor's degree preferred by not required.
- In lieu of Degree; five (5) years or more in a sales/or management position, preferably in the financial industry is accepted.
Experience :
- Must have five (5) or more year's prior management experience.
- Must have prior teller /or cash handling experience.
- Strong sales background of five (5) years or more.
- Strong experience in cold calling and business development.
- Have a thorough understanding of the customer service concept and the importance of developing and expanding relationships.
- Former financial/or banking background required.
