Job Description :
Our Senior Manager, Social Media will drive the strategy and execution excellence for Ancestry's owned Social Media community and editorial content programs spanning multiple channels. Help Ancestry achieve our goal: Expand brand sentiment, product engagement, become a pre-eminent storyteller, and engage and grow our community to include new audiences across both family history and consumer genomics categories.
Strategy : to stay ahead of the curve on the social media and champion campaigns that can keep the agency as the one ahead of the rest.
Team management : Strategic management of teamwork and ensuring alignment and delivery on the set objectives of the client
Client Management : Understand the needs of the client and derive campaigns to effectively build the brand, win awards
- Growth creator through effective management and ability to derive results
- Manage team executing social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Manage edit, publish and sharing of daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Film & Video-related campaigns : Work with the brand and internal team to manage film and video related campaigns end to end from understanding the brief to production and to ensure the right impact is made through kickass distribution following PESO framework
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's social content
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
- Manage, Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules with the team and ensure it is delivered. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
What you will do :
- Strengthen the Ancestry social media strategy in order to scale community engagement, positive sentiment, and brand awareness
- Innovate and ideate enriching content ideas to drive social reach, sharing and brand loyalty
- Develop a multichannel editorial calendar and owned content strategy in partnership with creative directors across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Listen, learn and build a world class customer and social listening competency at Ancestry to inform our marketing initiatives and customer experience
- Define, execute, measure, and optimize earned social media campaigns and tactics to support our brand goals and overall business growth goals and priorities
- Be a subject matter expert in social media platform best practices, teaming up with our global leads to ensure we execute best-in-class programs, communications, customer service and continue to be a partner of choice with industry and agency partners
- Ensure programs and content deliver against goals, commitments, and growth benchmarks for traffic, referrals and engagement and can be optimized for multiple channels and geographies via internal frameworks and collaboration with country contributors
- Successfully collaborate with key internal teams, including member services, PR, marketing, product, HR, technology, and leadership to reach goals
- Lead all global platform operations, community management best practices and resources, and social impact reporting
- Leverage technology and tools to identify influencers and work cross-functionally to nurture influencer relationships
- Manage social media budget effectively and efficiently
Qualifications :
Required :
- At least 6+ years working in digital marketing, with a focus on social media.
- Managed multiple Instagram accounts.
Preferred : Familiarity with other analytics tools like Google Analytics, Sprout, etc.
