Blue Silicon Infotech - Executive - Business Development (2-4 yrs)
Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Executive to join our team, focusing exclusively on the academic sector. The ideal candidate will have over 2+ years of experience in business development, a strong network within academic institutions, and the ability to develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth. This role is primarily field-based, requiring frequent visits to Engineering colleges, Non-Engineering colleges, and Schools to promote our offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Research and Strategy Development:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities within the academic sector.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential challenges.
2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and target potential clients in Engineering Colleges, Non- Engineering Colleges, and Schools.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in academic institutions.
- Present and promote our products and services to prospective clients,highlighting their benefits and value.
3. Field Visits and Networking:
- Conduct regular field visits to academic institutions to establish and strengthen relationships.
- Participate in academic events, conferences, and seminars to network and promote our offerings.
- Leverage existing contacts and networks to generate leads and new business opportunities.
4. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue goals of the organization.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
5. Client Support and Follow-up:
- Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients and maintain regular follow-up to foster long-term relationships.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback for management review.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years in business development, preferably within the academic sector.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , or a related field
- Skills:
- Strong network of contacts within academic institutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
