BLR Brewing - Manager - Sales - Hospitality Sector (3-6 yrs)
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy, nurturing relationships with clients, and ensuring the hotel or hospitality venue meets or exceeds sales targets. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy and Planning :
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional campaigns and sales materials.
Client Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agencies, corporate accounts, and event planners.
- Conduct sales calls, presentations, and site inspections to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring the best possible terms for the hotel.
Revenue Management:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
- Work closely with the revenue management team to optimize pricing and inventory management.
- Develop and implement packages and promotions to drive occupancy during off-peak periods.
Team Leadership and Development :
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team members' sales skills and product knowledge.
- Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Event Coordination :
- Coordinate with event planning teams to ensure seamless execution of events and meetings.
- Oversee the booking and coordination of conference rooms, catering services, and other amenities.
- Ensure all client requirements and expectations are met or exceeded during events.
Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, revenue performance, and market conditions for senior management.
- Utilize CRM systems to track and manage client interactions and sales activities.
- Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in luxury or boutique hotel sales.
- Familiarity with online travel agencies (OTAs) and global distribution systems (GDS).
- Multilingual skills.
Working Conditions :
- This position may require travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Work is typically performed in an office setting, but flexibility is required for client meetings and events.
