Blackboard Radio - Manager - Sales (3-7 yrs)
- Blackboard radio is an award-winning venture funded ed-tech enterprise started by IIT Delhi alumni. Blackboard Radio is a practice-first English Speaking app for children for classes 1-10. The app engages children by giving them daily speaking practice with help of teachers and cutting-edge technology.
- Research proves that focused exposure to English in early childhood results in better language acquisition. Furthermore, students have better recall and hence higher gain in vocabulary when they listen, contextualize, and speak a word. And therefore, all the activities on the app are speech and diction focused, with ML in the back end to create a highly personalized and adaptive engine for the user.
- We are looking for a Sales Manager who will be leading the sales team. Creating and executing strategies to improve the team. Generating revenue for the team through educational consulting and by closing sales deals. Candidates will have complete accountability for the improvement of sales performance for the teams assigned to them.
Responsibility :
- Recruit, train and manage a team of sales people for the assigned geographical territory
- Plan sales approach, pitch and work closely with the team to achieve the target revenue.
- Generate MIS reports on incoming leads, revenue generated and performance of each sales associate in the team; capture all relevant data points in the process.
- Handle the recruitment process for the team
- Manage marketing campaigns and ad content
- Forecast sales targets. Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Multiple stakeholder management
- Creating and overseeing strategies to improve sales numbers
- Working on business side & taking the sole ownership of improvement
- Should have experience in root cause analysis and performance reporting
- Conducting primary and secondary research in improving sales team performance
Profile Requirements :
- Bachelor/ Master degree is required. (A degree in marketing/ sales/ engineering is strongly preferred).
- 2-5 years of related work experience in sales/ marketing/ business development, developing proposals and sales-pitch documents
- Strong ability to establish and maintain internal & external relationships across teams and levels of organization.
- A thorough professional with a proactive attitude, capable of thinking in and out of the box, generating new solutions and ideas and implementing the same
- Experience in the education sector (Ed-Tech) is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Must have high-level organizational and planning skills to develop, prioritize and execute assignments.
- Must be savvy with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), CRM tools and Google applications
Location : Remote or Bangalore
Compensation : 7LPA to 15LPA (fixed + variable)
