BIS Research - Business Editor (0-1 yrs)
Job Description for Business Editor:
BIS Research is looking to hire a full-time Business Editor for its Noida office. The incumbent will take full ownership of the English language across various client deliverables such as market reports, presentation, and circulars. The Business Editor is expected to develop best practice guidelines in terms of business writing and reporting, to cater to the senior management of leading global companies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Should take sole responsibility to make edits related to the English language within the reports, ensuring proper grammar, correct spelling, sentence structure, punctuation and appropriate presentation of the reports
- Edit research reports which will vary in between 200 to 300 pages
- Ensure that the reports comply with business standards for commercial reports
- Develop a proper guideline and structure to write research reports using correct English
- Coordinate with the research team to gain an understanding of business requirements from the clients to maintain consistency in the reports
- Understand blueprint of the research report structure
- Coordinate with the Research manager and HR manager to develop a proper training to write good Reports using formal language, for future reference
- Content Development for press releases, blog, marketing activities
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong English comprehension and writing skills
- Pay attention to detail to gauge on common mistakes made while writing research reports
Education: BA (English Honours), Master Degree in English/Journalism/Mass Communication
- Science and technology background knowledge will be preferred from school level
- Must be able to work in a demanding, fast-paced start-up environment
Experience Level:
- 0.6 to 2 years experience in language editing
- Freshers are also welcome to apply, provided they can demonstrate excellent command over the English Language.
