Better Communications - Copywriter (1-5 yrs)
Job Role: Copywriter
Primarily, candidate will be expected to understand the overall communications strategy of the client and write content that will contribute towards achieving the desired results.
1.Writing
You will be expected to write communication material. These could be in the form of press ads, press releases, mailers, newsletters, reports, presentations, brochures, etc. - anything that falls within the purview of communication material.
2.Collating information
Some amount of research will need to be undertaken for developing the written material. This could be through meeting people (including clients), going through relevant reference material, etc. Essentially, it involves being clued on to the environment (identifying events, happenings, patterns, procedures) imbibing them, reflecting them in communications and thus helping the organization in achieving their communication objectives.
3.Editing
This would involve improvising communication material that will be deployed in some form - print or electronic. The idea is to develop effectively written material that clearly communicates the desired message. Towards achieving this, it also involves checking for correctness of writing conventions (like spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.) It involves ensuring that all elements of the written communication material - headlines, subheads, images, blurbs, captions, format, etc. - tie in together accurately and seamlessly.
4.Innovation
A certain amount of innovation is also called for in this role.
