Becquer Energy is a renewables energy company, that designs and constructs solar plants for any type of customer, ranging from factories, to homes to schools.
- The founding mission of the company has been the commitment made by the founder at the UN on sustainable goals, to help people and businesses switch to a cleaner source of electricity and save money at the same time.
- Now lies the challenge - how to help millions of people in the rural sector to get access to electricity and also use sustainable practices.
We have been working to design and manufacture in India a rural focused product that aims to solve the energy needs. The opportunity is very vast, with over 150 million households (or 600 million people roughly ) not having proper power. Even with rural electrification, the grid availability is barely a few hours. So the problem is far from solved.
Hence, looking for a person with background in rural channel development and sales, preferably with a FMCG company like ITC, Unilever, P&G, Dabur, Pidilite, etc. Experience of working with distributors, rural sales professionals would be of great advantage.
Role :
1. Discovering customer and geography segments in the rural sector and identifying their energy needs
2. Assessing the potential for solar technology as applicable to their business
3. Marketing the technology and ultimately convincing the rural households to adopt it
4. Building a sales team overtime to target specific geographies and segments
