The Job
As a B2C Travel Agent at our client's travel agency, you will be responsible for assisting individual customers in planning, organizing, and booking their travel arrangements. You will work directly with clients to understand their preferences, offer suitable travel options, and ensure a seamless booking experience. Your goal will be to provide exceptional customer service and create memorable travel experiences for our clients.
Your responsibilities will include :
Customer Consultation : Engage with clients to understand their travel requirements, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide expert advice and guidance on destinations, itineraries, transportation, accommodations, and other travel-related services.
Travel Planning : Research and gather relevant information about various destinations, attractions, and travel options. Create customized travel itineraries tailored to individual client preferences, including flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, activities, and travel insurance.
Reservation Management : Utilize travel booking systems and tools to make reservations for flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel services. Ensure accuracy of all bookings, secure necessary confirmations, and handle any modifications or cancellations as per client requests.
Product Knowledge : Stay updated with the latest industry trends, travel regulations, and destination-specific information. Familiarize yourself with different travel products, services, promotions, and loyalty programs to provide comprehensive recommendations to clients.
Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire travel planning process. Respond promptly to client inquiries, concerns, and requests via phone, email, or in-person meetings. Address and resolve any issues or complaints efficiently and professionally.
Sales and Revenue Generation : Actively promote and upsell additional travel services, upgrades, and ancillary products to enhance the client's travel experience and maximize revenue for the agency. Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the agency's growth and profitability.
Documentation and Financial Transactions : Ensure accurate completion of all required documentation, including passports, visas, travel contracts, and payment receipts. Process financial transactions securely and efficiently, adhering to the agency's policies and procedures.
Relationship Building : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel suppliers, and industry partners. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate special rates, exclusive packages, and promotional offers for clients.
Ideal Candidate :
- Proven experience as a B2C Travel Agent or in a similar customer service role within the travel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of travel destinations, attractions, transportation options, and travel regulations.
- Familiarity with travel booking systems, such as Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and online travel portals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and suppliers.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple clients and bookings simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing reservations, documentation, and financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including MS Office and travel-related software.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
