AVP - Corporate Communication (7-11 yrs)
Job Summary
Develop and implement India-specific marketing communications plans that drive the demand for company services. The AVP-Communications is responsible for the overall management of the Company's Corporate Communications department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Direct the development and execution of marketing communications initiatives including product launches, sales collateral, tradeshows, campaigns, social site presence, company website, public relations, internal communication, regulatory communications and corporate events.
2. Establish, own and drive a strategic internal and external communications strategy that positively affects employees- and customers understanding, engagement and commitment with the result of an even stronger connection to the company and leads to a return on investment.
3. Ensure new communication campaigns and programs are aimed at reaching sales targets.
4. Manage brand delivery and consistency across all markets for all product/service lines.
5. Build and manage the corporate communications budget.
6. Determine projects which should be completed internally and externally. Manage relationships with outsid vendors/PR firms as necessary.
7. Collaborate closely with managers in Marketing, Business Development and Sales.
8. Ensure timely execution of the marketing and communication strategies and plans/ programs
9. This role is a Budget owner role hence the candidate will be responsible to negotiate with and manage stakeholders/ suppliers to ensure that marketing programs are executed within budget and to expectations
10. Content generation for newsletters, sales & marketing collateral, social media postings etc.
11. Participate & Ideate for trade shows, seminars etc.
12. Focus on 'hindsight, insight, foresight' for market, competition, consumer, influencer and trade.
13. Foster strategic relationships across cities with key media and industry trade bodies and serve as one of the key PR contacts within the organization for them.
14. Direct effective and regular information dissemination to press and industry influencers.
15. Participate in the measurement of Media Relations efforts and campaign deliverables, and apply learnings to optimize strategy.
16. Work effectively with the PR agency in meeting our end-deliverables.
17. Build working knowledge as well as educate the PR agency team's comprehension of Accenture's business, its competition and the industry.
18. Manage a broad range of proactive and reactive communications projects, and work cross-functionally with marketing, product and leadership teams on PR and thought leadership programs
19. Work closely with internal local and global leadership and external PR agency to ensure positioning and messages are conveyed effectively and consistently across channels and reflect the organization's strategic vision
20. Identify and leverage co-marketing opportunities with key influencers, organizations, partners, clients, analysts and other stakeholders in order to position the firm as the go-to solution for all target segment/real estate developers throughout India.
Relationships :
Reports to: Marketing & Communications Head - India
External Relationship: Public Relations Agency and other third-party vendors
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: University degree or equivalent; Master's degree in Mass Communications or Journalism preferred
- Work Experience: Between 7-11 years of experience in corporate communications, PR or marketing communications roles in a large complex global organization with some years of agency exposure.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Deep knowledge of Public Relations essentials, including communication planning, audience analysis, message development and media training
2. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including ability to work with a virtual team effectively and to engage with senior leadership
3. Ability to work closely with India and global leadership, acting as communications advisor, as appropriate
4. Excellent written and communications skills
5. Strong stakeholder and project management skills
6. Negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills to resolve complex issues
