Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Analyst interested in building and refining the SEO strategy with excellent problem solving skills and a proven track record of creating and executing eCommerce SEO strategies designed to improve rankings and drive revenue.
Responsibilities
- Be the in-house SEO expert and evangelize SEO best practices throughout the company, responding to issues and questions as they arise across product and marketing
- Clearly define SEO requirements and recommend site enhancements designed to increase our average ranking and drive traffic and conversions.
- Maximize organic traffic growth by establishing a robust SEO target keyword list and working closely with marketing colleagues across all channels, including content, email, web, PR and social.
- Develop SEO strategies to drive traffic and leverage (new/existing web technologies, social netoworking, user-generated content, media efforts
- Optimize current website architecture, URL structures, category taxonomies and content (new and existing) to maximize our results and grow non-branded traffic QoQ.
- Be an expert on the ins and outs of our website, ensuring sitemaps stay updated and the correct processes are in place, implementing href language tags, etc
- Stay abreast of new developments in the ecommerce industry and SEO overall, developing proactive and reactive strategies to help us become best-in-class in both domestic and international search
- Manage the SEO tech stack and be accountable for all business performance metrics related to SEO, reporting weekly KPI metrics and project status to various stakeholders across the organization
Requirements
- 2-3 years hands-on experience with eCommerce SEO (Preferably at a large eCommerce company)
- Advanced understanding of the fundamentals of the search engine industry, including but not limited to: crawlers, relevance ranking criteria, keyword research, competitive analysis, content management systems and performance scorecards, search algorithms and current SEO trends (i.e.: Panda + Penguin releases)
- Deep understanding of how search bots crawl websites, including tools like Botify, ScreamingFrog, etc
- Strong working knowledge of and proficiency with wweb analytics tolls like Google Analytics, Webmaster, etc
- Knowledge of CMS environments such as WordPress, Craft, Drupal, or Sitecore
- Sound knowledge of HTML and CSS to identify code-based optimization opportunities
