Fundraising and Donor Management Specialist
Position Summary :
The incumbent would be an integral part of the fundraising team with fundraising and a full-cycle donor management responsibilities to help forge new long-term partnerships.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Prospect relevant CSR donors, foundations and family offices aligned with our mission and develop strategic proposals for partnership.
- Current and new donor management including field visits, due diligence and reporting.
- Work with internal program teams to collate, validate data and prepare various formats of communication for funding partners and potential donors.
An ideal candidate qualifications :
- A graduate with at least 3-5 years of demonstrated donor prospecting and management experience in the non-profit sector. Prior experience in the education sector is desirable.
- Lead the research of relevant CSR prospects, create a database of funding opportunities and work with the team on outreach.
- Experienced in proposal writing and end-to-end donor due diligence and donor reporting.
- An individual with a high emotional quotient skilled in in-person interactions with various stakeholders including funding partners, government partners and student beneficiaries.
- Proficient in curating programmatic documents such as impact reports and proposals with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, biased towards action, and has succinct verbal and written communications skills.
- Considered an expert in MS Office and presentations.

Location : India based fully remote with periodic domestic travel.
Reporting structure : They will report into the CSR Lead and work very closely with the co-CEOs.
- There will also be extensive cross-functional interaction for donor reporting.

About Avanti Fellows :
- Avanti Fellows is a 14 year-old not-for-profit organization founded by IIT Bombay Alum, Akshay Saxena. Avanti's mission is to help students lift themselves & their families out of poverty in a single generation through access to quality careers in STEM. Avanti works with large government school systems (Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti) to create system-wide test-preparation programs for national entrance exams for engineering, medical and other technical education in STEM.
- Avanti's programs serve over 30,000 high-school students (Grades 9-12), across 20 states and 6 union territories. More than 50% of Avanti's students are girls. Once enrolled, students receive rigorous academic tutoring for 12-20 hours per week in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. In addition to academic tutoring, our programs focus on career guidance and building critical life skills like agency and self-efficacy. We run additional programming for Girl students that focuses on overcoming gender-stereotypes and increasing participation in STEM careers (specially technical courses).
