Job Summary :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Process Associate to join our dynamic team at Star Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end insurance process including policy administration, claims processing, and customer service. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and efficient insurance process, maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Policy Administration :

- Process new insurance applications and policy renewals.

- Verify and validate policy details and documents.

- Issue policy documents and ensure timely dispatch to customers.

- Update policy records and maintain accurate documentation in the system.

2. Claims Processing :

- Receive and review insurance claims from policyholders.

- Verify claim details and assess eligibility for reimbursement.

- Coordinate with medical facilities and third-party administrators for claim verification.

- Process claims efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

- Manage claim settlements and communicate claim decisions to customers.

3. Customer Service :

- Handle customer inquiries related to insurance policies and claims.

- Provide information and assistance to customers on policy coverage and claims procedures.

- Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues as necessary.

- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely responses.

4. Data Management :

- Maintain and update customer and policy records in the database.

- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data in the insurance processing system.

- Generate reports and perform data analysis to support business decisions.

5. Compliance and Documentation :

- Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements in all insurance processes.

- Ensure proper documentation of all transactions and communications.

- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

6. Team Collaboration :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, sales, and customer service to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

- Share best practices and knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.

- Proven experience in insurance processing or a similar role.

- Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims procedures, and industry regulations.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Proficient in using insurance processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

- Customer-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with health insurance policies and claims management.

- Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
