Associate Manager - Sales - Agri Input Fertilizer (5-15 yrs)

As an Associate Manager - Agri Input Fertilizer, Responsible for managing the entire fertilizer product category. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will drive sales, optimize sourcing, and ensure seamless execution across the supply chain. Responsibilities :

1. Sales Planning and Execution :

- Develop comprehensive monthly, yearly, and long-term sales plans for the fertilizer category.

- Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure effective implementation of sales strategies at the ground level.

- Monitor sales performance, identify gaps, and take corrective actions.

2. Vendor Partnerships and Sourcing :

- Forge strategic partnerships with fertilizer companies in India.

- Negotiate product allocations and pricing terms.

- Ensure timely sourcing of fertilizers to meet demand.

- Coordinate with logistics and distribution teams for timely deliveries.

3. Market Understanding and Compliance :

- Maintain a deep understanding of the fertilizer market, including trends, pricing, and competitive landscape.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

- Monitor on-field compliance related to product handling and safety.

4. Industry Networking and Relationships :

- Utilize your strong network within the Indian fertilizers industry.

- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and industry experts.

Qualifications :


- BSc./MSc. In Agriculture, preferred with MBA

- Minimum 5 years of experience in fertilizer sales or category management at Zonal/National level with Good Industry connect

- Proven track record of managing product categories & targets

- Excellent negotiation skills and vendor management abilities.

- Familiarity with Indian fertilizer regulations and market dynamics.

- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
