Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our team and drive the sales of our Point of Sale (POS) system to end-users in the mid to lower-market software t ier. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software sales, particularly within the retail sector, and a passion for helping businesses enhance their operations through innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development: o Identify and target potential customers within the mid to lower market tiers, focusing on small to medium-sized retail businesses, brands, and franchisors
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets. o Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of our POS system.
- Negotiate and close sales deals focusing on building long-term customer relationships.
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and a competitive landscape.
- Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and potential product improvements.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by assisting in providing exceptional service and support post-sale.
- Collaboration & Reporting: o Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales materials, campaigns, and strategies.
- Regularly report on sales activity, pipeline status, and performance metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in software sales.
- Experience selling POS systems.
- Experience in retail technology.
- Proven track record of success in selling to the mid to lower market tiers.
- Skills:
- Ability to speak English fluently.
- Strong understanding of the retail industry and the unique challenges small to medium-sized businesses face.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technological solutions clearly and compellingly.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of clients. o Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and a results-oriented mindset.
