The Job :
Key Responsibilities :
1. Business Development :
- Identify, approach, and engage with potential clients for :
- Project development in sectors identified by the company.
- Representing the company at climate change, GHG mitigation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy forums, as deemed appropriate.
- Facilitating interactions between buyers and sellers of carbon credits.
- Identifying new business opportunities and promptly reporting them to management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the carbon markets, including corporate clients, project developers, and brokers.
- Understand the nuances of voluntary and compliance carbon markets, staying updated on emerging trends, regulations, and policies.
- Develop strategies to promote Carbon Watch's projects, products, and services to a diverse client base in India and internationally.
2. Market Research & Strategy :
- Conduct market research on carbon credit trends, pricing, and potential opportunities.
- Assist in analyzing data from carbon projects and understanding client needs to provide tailored solutions.
- Monitor industry developments, key market players, and carbon offset project potentials.
3. Administrative & Office Management :
- Manage day-to-day office administration tasks, including scheduling meetings, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring smooth office operations.
- Provide administrative support to the business development team, including report preparation, follow-ups, and maintaining records.
- Facilitate communication between the India office and the Singapore headquarters.
4. Client Management :
- Serve as the primary contact for both prospective and existing clients, addressing inquiries and providing information about carbon market solutions.
- Collaborate closely with clients to ensure their sustainability goals align with Carbon Watch's offerings.
5. Collaboration :
- Work closely with the Singapore team to align business development efforts and streamline operations.
- Participate in business planning and strategy sessions, assisting in the preparation of client proposals and pitch decks.
Ideal Candidate :
Key Requirements :
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management, with a focus on the carbon market.
- Solid understanding of carbon credits, including market participants (buyers and sellers) and trading mechanisms.
- Experience in managing administrative duties and office operations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with international teams is a plus.
