Assistant Sales Manager/Sales Manager - Building Automation - West (5-10 yrs)
Position Title - Asst. Manager/Sales Manager - West, Building Automation
In this position, you would be a key part of the Building Automation team, helping to drive a growing business. You will educate specifiers, such as electrical engineers, lighting designers, and MEP Consultants (Berker KNX ) product benefits and our world-class customer support services. A successful Lighting Controls & Premium Wiring Devices
Building Automation Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
1 Revenue generation by customer relations( Architects, ID'S & Consultants), and project portfolio management
- Finding opportunities, in commercial, residential for home automation.Define the apt customer portfolio; Visiting architects and ID's to achieve enquires target set by the company.
- The position means explaining the products/ solutions with differentiators to key influencers e.g Architects, builders,consultants,end users to generate enquiries to be quoted for; maintain a dynamic log of active projects to be followed up; facilitate order negotiations to close them favourably with the help of the system integrator. Enhance top line & bottom-line revenue and enhance brand image.This responsibility means studying the technical features of the products ( both standalone and KNX based system),to non technically support customer(Architects&ID's) in arriving a BOM .
- This activity calls for sound knowledge of networked based home automation system and hands on experience in working with such products. Develop new customer relationships and business opportunities.
- Close lighting controls and premium wiring Devices projects through technical expertise and a high level of customer service
- Surround project specifications thru effective communication with team members, rep agents, and other specifying or end user influencers.
- Represent ( Berker ) at Industry trade organizations and networking events
- Become a technical expert on ( Berker ) products for our specification customers, end-users and trait partners
- Create strong commercial project pipeline to maintain information
2 Market promotions :
Define an apt market promotion plan to cover the breadth of product/ customer portfolio; analyze the plan with respect to that of competitors; feedback the needs for promotional tools / support to conduct the actions effectively to product management; execute the plan in order to ensure that the product solutions & differentiators are effectively communicated to the target customers to enhance top line & bottom-line revenue and brand image.
3 Market intelligence :
Report changes in market trends, standards, installation habits; analyze competitor activities, product & pricing tactics/ strategy; provide feedback to product management in order to ensure that product portfolio positioning is in line with the overall global product positioning strategy.
4 Sales forecasting :
Analyze data in the project portfolio; contribute to the monthly sales forecast in conjunction with the project portfolio managed and feedback to supply chain in order to ensure on time availability of products to customers. To evaluate sales forecase of system integrators and communicate effectively to supply chain
5 Project support -
Work closely with Architects, Interior designeers and consultants to specify the product and generate more enquires.
