Assistant Sales Manager - Chemical (3-6 yrs)
Assistant Manager responsibilities include acquiring new channel partners along with expanding existing. Training channel partner sales team and monitoring inventory and ordering products based on demand. You will also research competition products and analyze consumer behavior to meet and exceed client expectations.
You should also be skilled at organizing and solving problems. Interpersonal and mediation skills will also be very useful, since you will often be acting as a liaison between managers, employees and customers.
Responsibilities
- Liaison with Channel Partner for commercial and technical queries of customers.
- Coordinate with sales co-ordinator for timely customer service operations and data compilation. (e.g. sales processes, orders and payments)
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
- Monitor and maintain stock inventory at distributor storage facility
- Evaluate channel partner performance and identify hindrances and training needs
- Monitor products operating costs, budgets and resources
- Suggest sales training programs and techniques
- Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning
- Handle complaints from customers
- Research competition products, and use information to position the products accordingly
- Create reports, analyze and interpret data, like revenues, expenses and competition
- Conduct regular audits to ensure material stocking at distributor is functional and presentable
- Make sure all employees adhere to company's policies and guidelines
- Handling the team of 1-3 employees.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Sales Manager or similar position. Experience in construction chemicals industry back ground is plus
- Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
- Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics
- Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving attitude
B.Sc/BE/B.Tech/MBA in relevant field
