Assistant Sales Manager - Building Hardware (3-10 yrs)

Company Information: A reputed German company operating in building hardware industry & having product portfolio for modern uPVC, Aluminium & Timber window systems and door systems. The group is having rich history & global presence (including India operations). Their Indian subsidiary is looking for qualified and self-motivated sales professionals to contribute to their expansion in India.

Job Position: Assistant Sales Manager/ ASM

Work Locations: 1. Mumbai, 2. Bengaluru and 3. NCR [National Capital Region],

Job Description: The Incumbent is required to work collaboratively in the sales team by working on the assigned role and complete deliverables in an organized & timely manner.

The main responsibilities will include:

(a) Retain, develop and expand the customer base and sales network through the acquisition of new customers and supporting existing customers.

(b) Regular and timely reporting to the reporting manager through the CRM software or otherwise as mandated. Weekly & monthly reporting a must.

(c) Analyzing and managing the customer base regularly and carrying out customer visits according to the A-B-C classification or according to the defined rule.

(d) Should be capable of handling all the aspects of sales activities independently like presentation, quotation, negotiation etc.

(e) Immediate notification to the reporting manager if unusual incidents or grievances among customers comes to the notice. Client service is of top priority.

(f) Participation in the review of the company's in the market (competition, environment, sales channels, sales potential, customer groups, market prices, opportunities, risks, products, etc.).

(g) Compliance with the annual sales target.

(h) Coordination of sales activities with the position other relevant colleagues.

(i) Forecasting the orders.

(j) Actively seek branding of COMPANY in the showrooms of customers / prospects.

(k) Appointment of Distributors.

(l) Collaboration in the establishment of meaningful customer loyalty concepts to create lasting customer relationships.

(m) Share/ suggest all internal and external processes that can significantly influence the sales success and the market position.

(n) Timely communicate the product range gap vis- vis competitors.

(o) Participation in the planning, development and implementation of product training courses, presentations and customer events.

(p) Monitoring and control of the customer's creditworthiness and timely action to minimize the impact on the company.

(q) Participation in the organizational planning as well as active participation in training courses, trade fairs, sales conferences, events and working group meetings.

(r) Planning and implementation of business trips in coordination with the reporting manager.

(s) Liaising with architects, consultants and product specifiers.

(t) Takeover of further tasks after consultation with the reporting manager.

Candidate Requirements/Eligibility

- Graduation in any discipline (including Engineering, Commerce, Business Management etc.). Engineering & MBA qualification will be an advantage.

- Ideally 3 to 6 years of relevant sales experience in building and construction industry (preference for candidates from facade, fenestration and architectural hardware / ironmongery industry).

- Good communication & effective presentation skills, along with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

- Strong analytical and time management skills.

- Experience & expertise in customer relationship management.

- Role will involve frequent travel in the assigned region/territory therefore candidate should have a vehicle of his own (preferably a car).
