Assistant Manager - Sales Support/Bid Management (6-9 yrs)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews RFPs and other client material to gain complete understanding of requirements.
- Creates proposal or presentation template aligned with client requirements and company branding standards.
- Collaborate with a proposal project manager to prepare competitive proposals and RFP/RFI responses including researching, writing, compiling and editing content using internal resources to ensure consistent messaging
- Works closely with pursuit team to resolve open items during the proposal and presentation development process.
- Holds master drafts of proposals and presentations, incorporating edits and changes and sending out revised drafts to the pursuit team.
- Ensuring timely completion of proposals along with meeting the expected quality parameters
- Uploading final deliverables to internal SharePoint site/online procurement sites
- Carry out content management activities, including collecting and updating content for proposal language database and extracting best practice content.
- Demonstrates competency in best practice approaches to client-centric proposals and presentations.
Client/Market Research :
- Collecting strategic information on clients, competitors and Industry based on extensive secondary research and consolidating the same into presentations to be used by client facing colleagues.
- Use online market research reports and secondary research databases to create client profiles.
- Researching, analyzing, interpreting published data and statistics related to operations, financials, people practices, industry etc. of prospects.
- Provide competitive analysis on various companies- market offerings, identify market/industry trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation.
Note: Applicants should be flexible working in shifts.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Experience :
- 6 - 8 years in a full-time Bid Management role in developing sales and marketing proposal and collateral material.
- Handling a team of min of 7 to 10 people.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Level-headed nature and organized under pressure.
- Very strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills. Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Good research, organizational, and communication skills, particularly writing and editing with a customer service focus.
- Advanced business writing ability with outstanding grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Intermediate to advanced ability to make presentations.
- Self-motivated with the initiative to make constant improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Knowledge of secondary research databases like Hoovers, Bloomberg and Factiva etc.
- Knowledge of online search processes including key word searches, setting up automated delivery notices, bookmarking favorite sites, etc.
Education:
- Bachelor- s/Master's degree in business, marketing, or communications preferred.
