Assistant Manager - Sales - Logistics Firm (5-12 yrs)
JD:
- We are seeking a seasoned Assistant Manager/Manager with a strong background in account and client management within the logistics industry.
- The ideal candidate will have 5-12 years of experience, specifically in freight forwarding, field sales, and direct sales.
- This role requires an individual who is adept at managing client relationships, driving sales, and ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Account & Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth execution of logistics services.
Freight Forwarding:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of freight forwarding, including coordination with shipping lines, customs clearance, and delivery of goods.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and optimize processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Sales & Business Development:
- Drive field sales and direct sales efforts to acquire new clients and expand the company's market share in the logistics sector.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
MIS Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular MIS reports to senior management, providing insights into sales performance, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective service delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 5-12 years of experience in account management, client management, and sales within the logistics industry, with a strong focus on freight forwarding.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MIS reporting and data analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of logistics operations, including customs regulations and freight forwarding processes.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record in field sales and direct sales, with the ability to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
