Assistant Manager - Sales - Healthcare (8-15 yrs)
Job Summary :
Working under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager works together with other sales related functions such as Marketing, Application and Technical Service Engineer within the region. Manages the distribution network as per policies and procedures of the Company.
He is responsible to meet the sales targets from the assigned geographical area. Maintain the GP as per Management business objectives. He is accountable for the following:
- Nurturing the existing client base
- Reporting the competitor's activities through market intelligence
- Market mapping
- Analysis of the buying influences and fine tuning of the Single Sales Opportunity and closing the deal
- Framing localized but ethical strategies to gain maximum market share and achieve sales objective
- Weekly reporting
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
Sales Performance & Growth
- Develops account-by-account strategies based on regional sales plan, in order to ensure ability to supply the highest level of service support to the customer base and to achieve specific sales/share objectives
- Builds strong relationships with Healthcare Professionals, hospital managements, and industry KOLs.
- Implements business strategy into plans, targets, forecasts, business reviews on a monthly & quarterly basis and overall business efficiency.
- Achieves sales plan and profitability objectives for the assigned geographical Area.
- Establishes a monitoring system to ensure compliance with the sales plan on volume, price and value objectives for products.
- Plans and executes relevant training workshops, symposia, conferences, etc. together with the marketing and service teams.
- Submits the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager and exercises financial controls, when necessary.
- Continually researches& updates the knowledge of our product portfolio and product features as well as the understanding of the business and the market complexities in which we operate.
- Prepares for and attends tenders. Expected to be present physically at the tender opening, when required.
- Communicate with business associates to get all end user information (stock, sales price etc.).
- Support the organization to conduct conferences and events.
Customer Satisfaction
- Achieves a high level of customer satisfaction through the management of customer and business associate relationships and providing timely sales support.
Internal Business Processes
- Adheres to SVL and MTP.
- Manages a range of internal business processes including marketing plan implementation support, alignment of sales activities to marketing plans, forecasting etc.
- Implements the Miller Heiman Sales process.
- Submits all the reports in prescribed format as per stipulated timelines.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in science is required. Master's degree in business administration or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in the sales function.
- Understands the market in the area, including customer/business issues, alliances, trends, and competitive issues.
