Assistant Manager/Manager - Sponsorship Sales (3-5 yrs)

Position : Assistant Manager/Manager (Sponsorship Sales)
Key Responsibilities :
- Researching and analysis analysing of industries, markets, brands to identify and determine opportunities
- Identifying Potential sponsors. for current and future business opportunities
- Build strong networks/contacts and leverage then grow these networks
- Approaching C-level business contacts and decision makers
- Consulting with prospective sponsors to understand and scope business requirements
- Create tailored, multi-faceted vertical and horizontal sponsorship packages that allow the potential sponsor to maximize their access to the target market
- Produce unique detailed proposals that convey the outlined objectives, the opportunity, the ROI and the offer
- Negotiating on components or pricing of proposed sponsorship offerings
- Securing and closing high value, win-win deals
- Working with other internal teams to deliver and support all aspects of the agreement and the achievement of desired ROI
- Achieving and/or exceeding set revenue targets
- Developing an ongoing relationship to ensure retention of key sponsors
- Building a database of potential new sponsors to ensure a healthy pipeline of prospects
- Utilize CRM tools to maintain detailed, accurate and up to date records regarding sales activity undertaken and sales conversations held.
Key Performance Indicators :
- Research and sourcing skills
- Increasing leads/prospects in the database as a result of research/sourcing undertaken
- Utilizes market information to achieve sales
- Conducting extensive Face to Face meetings
- Developing a range of package opportunities
- Proposals produced for each opportunity
- Consistently meets/exceeds sales metrics (research time, calls, leads generated, appointments set, meetings, proposals etc.)
- Achieves/exceeds set targets (adding to existing revenue)
- Conversion of opportunities through the pipeline (leads - contact - consulting - proposal - sale)
- Establishes high retention.
- Accurate reporting/recording of sales activity.
Required Skills, Competencies and Experience :
- Achieving Sponsorship Revenue target.
- Developing an ongoing relationship to ensure retention of key sponsors
- Building a database of potential new sponsors to ensure a healthy pipeline of prospects
- Utilize Salesforce CRM tools to maintain detailed, accurate and up to date records regarding sales activity undertaken and sales conversations held.
- Experience in a C-level sponsorship sales role
- Exposure to a wide range of industries and sponsorship opportunities
- Ability to 'cut through' and bypass gatekeepers to reach C-level decision makers
- High level consulting skills to determine objectives/requirements of potential sponsors
- Understands the way corporates view/approach sponsorships
- Creative, strategic, innovative 'out of the box' thinking
- Outstanding relationship establishment and development skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Strong research and lead generation skills to source prospects and opportunities
