Assistant Manager - Customer Service - Chemicals/Petrochemicals Business (3-6 yrs)
Job Description :
Roles and Responsibilities :
- The incumbent is expected to perform the duties Living the MNC Values of Safety, Ethics, People, Commitment, Customer Focus, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, and Speed and Agility.
- Review, process & maintain routine & expedited customer orders. Orders are received via email, phone or fax. Coding of orders with product part numbers and verifying pricing details. Process stock transfer orders.
- Process advance payments. Update customer account files with customer information & order processing instructions when necessary. Schedule and coordinate TL and LTL orders with internal shipping facility. Provide customer quotes for pricing and availability. Maintain a high level of customer service as reflected by a low number of customer complaints. Work closely with Production Control, Purchasing, and Shipping to ensure our customers needs are being met. Review customer order acknowledgments as well as process changes to existing customer orders.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies with customers and plants by using the Inventory Data and Corrective Action Request Database. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through systematic follow-up with the distribution network. Enter various requests on behalf of customer or Sales Engineer including but not limited to credit requests, debit request, new part number requests, and corrective action requests.
- Report review and maintenance (i.e. backlog report & allocation reports) Integrate the needs of the customer into the distribution capability of the company. May also monitor district warehouse levels and maintain a nominal, yet adequate inventory. Assist the Order and Systems Clerks as needed. Holiday phone coverage (rotated among Customer Service Representatives) Uses the Adaptive Coaching process for communication, goal alignment, problem solving, and career planning. Will need to have knowledge of export order processing including ocean and air export shipment regulations and familiarity with free trade agreements Successful performance contingent upon: Knowledge of SAP must
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Graduate Engineering
- A minimum of 3-5 years of customer service experience is necessary.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Coordination and balance of diverse activities with accuracy and prioritizing tasks
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and tight deadlines.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and adapting to change with ease.
- Willing to take on additional tasks and work effectively on a team.
- The ability to get along with others is also important.
- Thorough understanding of order processing and inventory software systems.
- Computer skills, SAP-SD, Microsoft Office, phone skills
- Candidates with prior work experience in Project Management shall be preferred.
