Manager - Content Strategy


Company Profile :

- Assemblage Entertainment is a premium feature-film and high-quality TV focused CGI animation studio based out of Mumbai, working on a slate of global theatrical films and high-end television content for audiences worldwide. In a short span of time, Assemblage has delivered three full length feature films - with Lionsgate and Studio Canal. Recent work was on DreamWorks' Trollhunters - a Netflix Original Series and 3D stereoscopic CGI animated feature "Arctic Justice".


- It is currently producing two more full length feature sequels of the Norm of the North franchise and a princess franchise CG animated show for Sony's Home Entertainment division. It has launched its first IP, the "Common Man", in Mumbai in December 2018. - Common Man- is based on India's most popular comic character and created by visionary & celebrated cartoonist RK Laxman. Main Purpose of Job :

- To lead content strategy - responsible for content creation, execution, monetization and overall management.

- Determining project scope, estimating, planning, executing and monitoring assigned properties and deliverables.

Main Duties of the Job Holder :

Content Strategy and Development :

- Competitive analysis and benchmarking in the content domain

- Create plans for content development & planning, recommend content types & goals and identify market opportunities

- Pursue research as adequate for content strategy

- Develop content matrix and content business models

- Initiate and lead all appropriate content strategy meetings.

- Evaluate Content Sales & Syndication for International TV Satellite, terrestrial, VOD & other platforms.

- Build up the database for TV Channels, VOD platforms and license contents.

Planning, Execution and Analysis :

- Manage entire market strategy right from planning, execution, fixing up sales meeting and achieving revenue targets and follow ups with clients for licensing contract execution.

- Prepare proposals and business contracts for new deals.

- Develop budgets, content strategies and realistic/actionable project plans

- Demonstrates understanding of and ability to facilitate and manage forecasting, budgeting and optimization.

- Define creative and writing scope of work and technical specifications for team building

- Review, analyze and evaluate the project progress relative to the stakeholder's needs and objectives.

- Provide business updates on a regular basis to demonstrate upcoming opportunities and threats to the business. Analyze out of scope requests, initiates additional estimates and approvals.

- Demonstrate strategic insight to develop long term execution plans from stakeholder's stated business objectives and implement those plans.

- Effectively present strategic and tactical plans to stakeholders and internal teams.

- Ability to self-manage while managing assigned teams and projects under tight deadlines.

Team Leading, Co-ordinating, Managing :

- End to end project management for IP development

- Sourcing concept artist/writers etc. for team building through the network

- Monitors all strategic activities on assigned projects and communicates status of each project to appropriate level and to all stakeholders in order to meet project deadlines

- Monitoring and enforcing project constraints (schedule / scope / resources)

- Escalate exceptions and issues as required.

Administrative :

- Work with internal and external managers to identify goals and metrics and integrate those metrics into the content development process

- Build, track and monitor assigned development projects

- Compile data and create weekly/monthly reports, including analysis for insights.

- Preparing power point presentations and marketing emails for marketing strategy before, during and after the markets.

Job Requirements :

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION :

- Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Mass/Social Communication.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES :

- 5+ years
