Area Sales Manager - Plywood (5-7 yrs)
North East Veneers & Plywood LLP is a leading name in the plywood industry, known for its quality products and commitment to customer satisfaction. We are expanding our presence in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh & Lucknow and are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and revenue growth in the region for our plywood division.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the territory, building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
- Lead a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the achievement of individual and team targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
- Prospect and engage with architects, contractors, builders, and other key decision-makers to promote our plywood products and secure new projects.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop region-specific sales strategies, promotional activities, and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies and product offerings as needed.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
- Travel within the territory to meet clients, attend industry events, and conduct site visits as required.
- Stay updated on industry developments, product knowledge, and market trends to provide accurate information to clients and team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in sales management, preferably within the plywood or building materials industry.
- Strong understanding of the market, including key players, distribution channels, and customer preferences.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team toward achieving targets.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools to manage leads, track performance, and generate reports.
- Proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Bengali is essential.
