Area Sales Manager - Material Handling Equipment (6-11 yrs)
Job Summary :
The Area Sales Manager for Material Handling Equipment will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The role involves strategic planning, managing sales processes, and collaborating with other departments to enhance business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership :
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business goals and expand market share.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to drive performance.
- Monitor and manage sales performance, providing guidance to meet KPIs and sales targets.
Business Development :
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in existing and new markets.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Participate in contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
Account Management :
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs and propose appropriate solutions from Josts' portfolio.
Market Intelligence :
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide input for product development and market positioning strategies.
Sales Operations :
- Collaborate with the internal teams (including marketing, product, and finance) to ensure seamless sales operations.
- Oversee order processing, pricing, and delivery coordination.
Reporting :
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis for senior management.
- Track and evaluate sales metrics to improve strategies and operations.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the material handling equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer requirements, and sales processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
