Area Sales Manager - Manufacturing Firm (3-10 yrs)

Under one company, it serves the consumer needs in both men's and women's categories of essential clothing, across the value chain i.e. economy, mainstream and premium segments.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Profit centre Head for the Area/Territory responsible for sales achievement through primary and secondary sales
Sales Strategy and Planning :
- Execute the sales strategy for the area/ territory in alignment with the business plan and in consultation with the ZSM/ RSM
- Increase sales revenue through implementation of appropriate route to market strategies
- Understand and share market trends, potential and competition information to leverage and explore all types of channels
Sales Operations :
- Drive a strong professional team in the area/ territory to realize sales targets
- Ensure overall and efficient administration of the area/ territory
- Work closely with the marketing department in execution of BTL activities
- Coordinate with concerned departments to resolve operational issues
- Take complete ownership of product availability in the channel
Distribution Management :
- Identify, propose for finalization of approved distributors.
- Manage the distributor network
- Consolidate and analyze distributor feedback to recommend and propose corrective actions
- Ensure product/ range availability to all the retail points of sales & manage stock at the distributor level
- Coordinate with the Sales Coordinator/s responsible for the area/ territory for stock related concerns and action plan
Reporting and process management :
- Ensure daily reporting and review weekly plan
- Consolidate sales report. Analyze and take corrective actions
- Implement sales systems and processes in the area/ territory
People management :
- Build and motivate the team for superior performance and development
- Ensure training of the team to develop capability
