Area Sales Manager - Manufacturing Firm (2-6 yrs)
Company Profile : The company deals in premium utensils and kitchen products.
Job Purpose : The role of ASM is a critical role for the growth of the Company. He will be responsible for overseeing the sales operation of your company in a particular geographical area. This could well include several states, cities or districts. The position will involve a high degree of domestic travel.
Responsibilities :
- Able to make market strategy and sales strategy and implement it
- Able to prepare long term sales scheme and implement and review
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry
- Research and analyze sales options by using the company defined sales channel (Direct, Tie up and Institute sales)
- Manage of enquiries/leads, conducting regular follow up of the entire team
- Provide quotations & commercial negotiation, tracking orders, communication with internal departments
- Maintaining and increasing sales of your company's products
- Establishing, maintaining and expanding customer base of the team
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Setting sales targets for individuals and your team as a whole
- Developing sales strategies and setting targets
- Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets
- Compiling and analysing sales figures
- Possibly dealing with some major customer accounts yourself
- Collecting customer feedback and market research
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors
- Develop creative promotional strategies to attract more customers.
- Maintain minimum inventory in warehouse and at vendors location
- Responsible for bringing the fresh capital in the company.
- Responsible for achieving target for the Annual Operation Plan of the company.
- Responsible for recruitment of the team and productivity for the same
Requisite Skills : The successful candidate shall be an energetic, effective, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills who is able to excel in an Indian sales environment
- Must have a natural ability to engage in business relationships with individuals and groups and a desire to improve these talents.
Desired Skill :
- Ability to take performance under pressure and achieve targets regularly
Education : Graduate in any discipline. PG/MBA in Sales & Marketing is desired.
