Area Sales Manager - FMCG (4-8 yrs)
Role: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager
Role Summary : The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for primary and secondary target achievement in the assigned territory. Responsible for handling trade for Personal Care/Food & Snacks/Dairy/Beverages categories. Adept at identifying and developing key clients for business excellence and accomplishment of targets.
Responsibilities :
- Primary and secondary target achievement of the area
- Monthly Sales planning and forecasting, taking into account the shelf life
- Channel Management & Cost Management
- Month wise business forecasting, bench marking the previous year
- Data & aligning with the Annual Operating Plan
- Competition tracking & making proactive plans to counter the new entrants
- Allocate manpower in different areas depending upon the individual capabilities
- Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure that adequate marketing support by way of merchandising and promotions is available in the region in order to provide brand visibility and promote sales in the region
- Mentor, motivate and guide team members ensuring sales - business generation and achieving targets
- Training subordinates to develop requisite skills; conducting trainings on products, Customer Acquisition & process
Desired Skills & Experience
- Any graduate with Master's degree in Sales/Marketing preferred
- Strong experience (5- 10 years) within a large Indian or multinational organization preferably within the FMCG industry with a major focus on Rural Channel, General Trade & Modern Trade
- Possess strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities
- Possess exceptional relationship management skills & interpersonal skills
- Good team management skills
- Multi-linguistic & an effective communicator in Kannada, English and Hindi
