Area Sales Manager - FMCG (10-12 yrs)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives in the assigned region
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales team, ensuring they meet their targets and goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities
- Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews to ensure team alignment and motivation
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively
Desired Skills and Experience :
- Proven experience (10+ years) in sales management, preferably in the General Trade sector
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze market data and develop effective sales strategies
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints effectively
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned region
