Area Sales Executive - FMCG (2-4 yrs)
Job Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy and Execution :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share goals within the assigned territory.
- Identify and tap into new sales opportunities in the FMCG/F&B sector.
Channel Sales Management :
- Manage and expand relationships with existing channel partners, distributors, and retailers.
- Identify potential new channel partners and onboard them to expand market reach.
- Ensure channel partners are well-supported and trained on product offerings and sales techniques.
General Trade Sales :
- Drive sales through general trade channels, including small to medium-sized retailers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retailers to enhance product visibility and availability.
Market Analysis and Reporting :
- Conduct market research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, including analysis of sales performance and market conditions.
Promotions and Campaigns :
- Plan and execute promotional activities and sales campaigns to drive product awareness and sales.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities and adjust strategies as needed.
Customer Relationship Management :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address customer queries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Team Collaboration :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
- Provide training and support to sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Performance Monitoring :
- Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets and KPIs.
- Implement corrective actions and improvement plans to address any performance gaps.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG/F&B industry.
- Proven track record in channel sales and general trade sales.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG/F&B market and distribution channels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using sales software and CRM tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
