Purpose of the role:
The Area Manager will be responsible for raising and managing a direct sales team of Urja Mitras with the help of a team of Rural Sales Associates. The Area Sales Manager has overall responsibility for the successful channel management of Urja Mitras, and the associated portfolio of customers that have purchased solar home light systems on through their financing model.
The Area Sales Manager should have an in-depth understanding of the functioning of large scale commission-based direct sales agents akin to insurance. The Area Manager should also have a detailed understanding of the designated area of rural operations, including customer occupation, typical repayment patterns, external influences, and customer behavior of area assigned to him.
The Area Sales Manager will be a lead member of the Sales and Operations team, reporting to Regional Manager, Sales, and Distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of achieving business targets assigned to his area;
- Overall responsibility for the superior repayment performance of a portfolio of customers created under his leadership in the area assigned to him;
- Overall responsibility of raising and stabilizing the sales channel comprising of Urja Mitras;
- Overall responsibility of building a professional team of Rural sales associate and grooming them to deliver superior performance;
- Overall responsibility for training, engagement and other capacity-building efforts targeted towards channel;
- Overall responsibility of performance management of area sales team
Requirements:
- Number of years of experience (range): 4-5years
- 4+ years of rural microfinance, banking, insurance, Agri input or agri implements, solar energy or rural sales and marketing experience
- Must Be Graduate
- Must have team Handling experience
