Job Overview:
We are hiring an Area Business Manager (#ABM) for a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in Orthopedics & Rheumatology products. This role requires a dynamic sales professional who can drive business growth, manage key customer relationships, and lead a high-performing sales team in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Growth:
- Achieve sales targets and expand market share for Orthopedic & Rheumatology products.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to maximize revenue.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
Customer & Market Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologists, hospital administrators, and pharmacies.
- Conduct product presentations, training, and promotional activities for healthcare professionals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
Team Leadership & Recruitment:
- Lead, train, and manage the sales team to achieve performance targets.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing sales professionals to strengthen the team.
- Provide coaching, motivation, and performance feedback to drive team success.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical industry regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and market intelligence data.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, medical affairs, regulatory) to align business goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Sales or Healthcare Management are a plus.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in Orthopedics or Rheumatology.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing a team.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Effective team management and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or the healthcare industry.
- Existing network with Orthopedic & Rheumatology specialists.
