Business Development Contract Logistics
Job Role and Responsibilities :
- The Sr. Manager/ Manager should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the requirements of 3PL customers, in order to provide them customized solutions.
- Generate new business, retain existing business and develop business from existing
customers as well.
- Understand, develop and execute business plan; Gross Profit (GP), Volume, Revenue targets.
- Generate sales lead and develop new clients of 3PL vertical.
- Develop a strong database/pipeline of prospective customers in North/West India.
- Coordinate and support local/regional sales team on lead sharing.
- Understand the requirement of clients and co-ordinate with different departments for customised business proposal.
- Value/Solution selling, negotiations, post sales follow up, retaining and enhancing relationship with key stake holders (internal/external).
- Coordinate with operation teams for smooth customer onboarding and operational implementation.
- Should develop a strong sales pipeline to support the sales development plan and surpassing set targets.
- RFQ/Tender management.
- Experience of Warehouse selling
Professional Background :
- Bachelor's in any field; Post graduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management
or a related field.
- Minimum 9 to 10 years in business development /sales experience in 3PL contract logistics industry.
- Must have good understanding to support the execution team. Must have
experience in driving the top line.
- Good negotiation skill to generate business.
- Market intelligence for penetration and customer relationship management.
