Role :
Consistent quality content lies at the heart of our business. A powerful content strategy will set the base for the business in general. The Content Strategist's role is to completely own and lead the content vertical, from scratch to success. A mini-CEO of sorts. A role where you wear many hats, you will be required to apply a combination of skill sets - creative ideation, operations, strategy, brand solutions and data analytics to ensure content success. You will be working closely with the founding team and will be playing a key role in building the company ground-up.
Responsibilities :
- Devise content strategy across formats (textual, video, audio) and ensure execution on a regular basis. Assist in ideation and creation of high-engagement content IPs
- Assume editorial responsibility for all content published on the platform
- Create BAU content in conjunction with the content team
- Manage the content calendar on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
- Regular reporting to the founding team on key metrics related to content performance
- Work closely with the digital marketing team to ensure relevance of content created and distributed keeping in mind the trends and audience feedback.
- Build and manage a contributor network to ensure flow of high quality content (in - line with content strategy)
- Build and manage a content team from scratch. Take ownership of team management
What we look for :
- Strong understanding of the target market (urban Indian women in the age group 25-35 years). Understanding of latest trends, consumer insight and the overall space in general
- Strong understanding of content creation for multiple digital platforms. Understanding of digital practices like SEO, keyword analysis and digital analytics. Understanding of how to execute digital-first content.
- Strong content creation skills. Brownie points if you have a blog/vlog/interesting Instagram account!
- At least 2-3 years of having worked at a digital media company, in content strategy and operations (preferably one focused on women)
- Passion, energy and an entrepreneurial zeal. Ability to think on your toes.
- A can-do, problem solving attitude, one that is indispensable to a start-up environment.
