Overall Purpose of the Role :
Maximizes sales representative effectiveness by determining and solving training needs.
Areas of Responsibility :
- Design, develop, and update training material and training aids based on the business and market requirements
- Prepare training calendar and schedule
- Conduct training sessions and collect feedback
- Identify areas for improvement as per the feedback from trainees and implement changes accordingly
- Monitor and Communicate attendance status, evaluation results and training feedback to the business head
- Research the market for training programs and recommend suitable training for sales staff
- Prepares new sales representatives by conducting orientation to sales process; developing individual coaching plans; providing resources and assistance; scheduling orientation drive-along with senior representatives.
- Determines training needs by traveling with sales representatives; observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports; conferring with sales managers.
- Develops individual results by maintaining policy and procedure resources; providing coaching; conducting training sessions; developing outcome improvement resources.
- Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; making support readily available; integrating support with routine job functions.
- Supports training financial objectives by recommending budget items; controlling costs.
- Accomplishes sales training and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualification & Experience Required :
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years of experience in delivering sales and product knowledge training for sales staff. MBA preferred

- Critical Thinking : Sales trainers will have to develop or assess materials that will help sales force understand sales, market and the industry. Trainers will have to understand the needs of the employees and judge what will work.
- Decision Making : Sales trainers will have to decide the best programs to train the sales force and meet the needs of the organization.
- Communication Skills : Sales trainers need to speak or present to groups of employees, speak interpersonally with individuals, report to management and meet with vendors. They must be friendly, clear, strong speakers.
- Management : Trainers might be in charge of training staff or need to motivate and train large groups of employees.
Additional Information :
- Willing to travel across the country
- Six days work week
