American Express - Sales Leader - Corporate Card Sales (5-7 yrs)
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the corporate card sales strategy within the team and set the sales direction in alignment with the overall market strategy and goals
Achieve aggressive commercial card product sales with focus on b2b deals with the team through a focus on new business to the franchise via new clients and cross-selling and expansions in the base
Aggressively manage the team's sales pipeline ensuring the pipeline is robust and will meet the targets including accurate and timely reporting of the pipeline and prospects in the pipeline.
Collaborate with product management in developing and executing best-in-class b2b selling propositions in conjunction with head of middle market acquisition
Collaborate with marketing to develop demand creation strategies to strengthen the funnel in conjunction with head of middle market acquisition
Develop and execute a sales strategy for increasing interactive penetration and improving operational economics.
Build a talented team that achieves results by attracting, developing, training and retaining a highly talented and motivated workforce.
Develop tomorrow's sales leaders by practicing situational leadership and fully engaging in the performance management process and utilizing profiles for success to manage and develop sales managers
Lead the sales organization in penetrating all segments within the territory allocated.
Align strategies with regional and global sales colleagues and share best-in-class practices, to ensure consistency and quality across the globe.
Support account retention and growth by developing collaborating with regional sales leader on early engagement and developing multiple customer relationships
Instill in team members the blue box values, including personal accountability and the will to win.
Meet all expense budgets by actively controlling all team's expenditures.
Collaborate with sales planning team & head to implement a performance-leveraged incentive compensation plan that drives both sales and profitability.
Requirements:
In depth knowledge of working capital, funding, financing instruments.
Minimum total 5 years, with at least 2 years of experience in sales management and leading a sales acquisition team
In-depth knowledge of the commercial card business in india
Direct sales management experience or strong aptitude towards corporate/institutional/ b2b sales management
Structured methodology to account acquisition
Pipeline management experience
Ability to build and lead a high-performance sales team
Ability to build and motivate a sales force and collaborate with a relationship management team
Strong understanding of payments industry, b2b selling, financials including ratio analysis and lending business.
Strategic and analytical focus.
Ability to collaborate and influence internally and externally.
Ability to leverage and deepen relationships with all internal parties.
Experience in developing and executing a successful sales strategy.
Capacity to build best in class sales team through continuous improvement in sales force effectiveness
Strong leadership competencies with a resilient nature and passion on delivering results
