AM/Manager - Sales/Business Development - Freight Forwarding (2-10 yrs)
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying prospective Customers, Business Opportunities, Assessing Customer needs in terms of promoting our Freight Forwarding Services.
- Providing rates to assigned clients as per their requirement for Different Sectors and Different Ports within Principal's service profile.
- Developing our approach and tools required for selling our products.
- Conduct market research to identify a new customer.
- Analyses market trends, recommend changes to market and business development strategies based on analysis and survey.
- Identify, analyses, pursue and report on sales opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Interact with Key Customers and Distribution channel.
- Expand market awareness of our service and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our services effectively.
- Generating Daily, Weekly and Monthly sales reports and submitting the same to HODs and Branch Manager.
- Provide Post-Sales support to all Existing and New Clients.
Desired Candidate's Profile:
- Good written and communication skills
- Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Shipping Line, Freight Forwarding products such as Sea/Air Import and Exports, Project Cargo, ODC, Ro-Ro, Break Bulk/Commodities etc-
- Awareness of the latest Industry Trends which are influencing the areas of Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Operational activities.
- Be personally driven, committed and focused
- Should have experience in Domestic and/or International Market
- Experience in identifying and exploring New Geographies and verticals.
- Experience in developing New Channels.
- Experience in Client Management and client relationship.
- Good knowledge of the local territory.
Educational Requirement:
- Should have a Bachelor's degree in sales and marketing.
- PGDBM/PGDIB/MBA will have an added weightage
Essential Skill Requirement:
- Minimum 2-4 years and 5-10 years experience max with shipping / logistics Industry.
- Public speaking and Client Relationship skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills to meeting Sales Goals
- An innovative and creative person to emphasizing Excellence
- Ability to work Independent and under pressure
- Confident speaking on the telephone
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
