Inviting applications for the role of ESS Expert - Market Research

This is a global role. The ESS Market Research expert will be responsible for identifying and building market intel across all Indirect categories. The person is also expected to identify and track key metrics and indices from market and provide inputs to dashboards thereby driving additional meaningful insights.

This position proactively analyses information and data from market to provide actionable recommendations to the Global Sourcing Team thereby creating value/savings within the organization. We're looking for a person with strong experience in handling end to end secondary market research across different categories.

Key responsibilities:

- Global - Market Intel

- Responsible for working on both proactive and reactive market intel reports across categories within ESS

- Market intel includes but not limited to supplier intel, category intel, price forecast, key indicators in market, risk assessment, market conditions for entry, benchmarking, competitive assessment, cost breakdown analysis (TCO)

- Identify commodity specific items which can be refreshed quarterly, or other frequencies as required

- Deliver category specific market and supplier intel through secondary research as required on an ongoing basis - project based, and requirement based

- Identify key metrics which can be refreshed and presented to executives and Category directors

- Act as key global point of contact for the Sourcing Group across US, Canada and India for all market intel needs

- Work with stakeholders on identifying potential aspect where market research might help with sourcing process

- Provide inputs and work with analytics team to develop metrics based on market inputs and help forecast/predict risk

Qualifications & Experience:

- 6+ Years of post- qualification experience in Market Research in Retail or any other industry

- MBA preferred (not mandatory)

- Must have worked on procurement related Market intel in the past

- Should have worked in a client facing / customer facing role

- Exposure to large data preferred

- Exposure to indirect categories preferred (logistics, IT, MRO, supplies, services, facilities)

- Good leadership skills, and ability to lead with positive conviction

- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team. Ability to collaborate with different teams.

- Sense of urgency in prioritizing and completing tasks, as well as organizational skills to set clear metrics to measure progress and report results.

- High degree of credibility with internal stakeholders, understanding of Company culture and optimal methods of implementing change within the organization
