Akamai - Inside Sales Representative - Farmer (5-9 yrs)
About the Team
The Inside Sales and Emerging Customer Group is the mid-market vehicle for Asia Pacific and Japan operations of Akamai. This team has the responsibility of managing mid-size and small fast growing companies and upselling and cross-selling into this base.
About the Job
The Inside Sales Representative is expected to manage the customer experience for a specific territory's install base of customers and help grow and maintain revenue. He/She is the Customer Representative/Advisor who serves as a key point of contact and as a liaison between the customer and the various departments within Akamai.
The Inside Sales Representative will understand the customer's business needs to ensure customer satisfaction and to encourage continued long-term relationship, and help identify opportunities where Akamai services fit their ongoing business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Managing customer activation process, ongoing support around customer service levels, customer contract renewals, consulting and providing information on Akamai products and services, creating and closing deals.
- Manages and retains revenue for a territory's install base of accounts in Asia Pacific / India. Runs it like an autonomous business.
- Owns complete end-to-end Sales cycle. Involves Presales, Consulting and Account Management
- Manages implementation of services and ensures 100% utilization of contracted services (project management, credit requests, invoice reviews, monitor usage, etc.)
- Create and deliver reports that details service usage, summarize professional services delivered, highlight new platform components and identify next steps for the named accounts.
- Generates demand for additional products and services within the install base of customers and grows the existing revenue base by at least 25%.
- Escalate problems issues within install base of customers and named accounts
- Helps uncover new growth opportunities
- Support the sale of professional services engagements
Basic Qualification
- 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree (Engineering degree is preferred) or its equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience and a Master's degree (MBA from top institute is preferred)
- 4+ years solution selling work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an end to end sales closing role in B2B space, ideally within IT or Technology Industry.
Desired Qualification
- Strong and self-confident communicator comfortable speaking with Director level and C-Level contacts and should have already worked/interacted with Director, VP and C-level contacts
- Works well with customers to maintain high level of customer satisfaction and develop strong relationships
- Responds to customer needs quickly and thoroughly
- Proven experience of being persuasive, influential and professional on the phone.
- Strong skills in identifying opportunities.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of technology and the Internet and related services
- Credible experience in and knowledge of E-Commerce, Financial Services, Hi-Tech, Manufacturing or Business Services.
