AITMC - Manager - Events & Sponsorship (5-7 yrs)
Position Title :
Manager: Events and Sponsorship
Position Overview :
The key responsibility of the role entails driving, conceptualizing and launching conferences/corporate events in identified industry segments and ensure these brands become sought after on ground destinations for key stakeholders in the sector. Each such corporate event is a cost center and therefore a separate line of revenue for the company.
Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for achieving personal sales target.
- Responsible to sell the event in terms of delegates and Sponsorship & to achieve targets by generating revenue from each event.
- Responsible for achieving sales KPIs (Phone calls, Emails, market coverage).
- To meet or succeed set yearly and monthly Sales revenue targets by selling consistently to all call types with the following objectives: repeat delegates, new clients and prospects.
- To convince the prospect of the benefits of attending our events.
- To use the sales & marketing database to the maximum possible. You are responsible for all data within a sector which is monitored on a regular basis.
- Effectively communicates the value of our conferences to decision makers and other key executives who are potential attendees.
- Works closely with production, marketing and sponsorship functions to deliver successful events.
- Aligns conference offerings with needs of the prospective attendee. Is innovative in finding new ways to communicate the value proposition to prospective attendees.
- Responsible for collecting payments on own sales pre-event.
- Should be able to do internet research for product knowledge, lead research and to understand the pulse of the market.
- Reach decision makers (C Level Executives) and sell the benefit of attending our summits.
Accountability And Performance Measures :
- Achieves assigned sales quota in designated events.
- Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
Organizational Alignment :
- Reports to the Director Strategic Alliances
- Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.
Qualifications :
- Full Time MBA degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience of selling sponsorship's to large corporates/institutions.
- High level of confidence to communicate with C level executives.
- Should have strong connects with the potential sponsors, more specially with large corporates
- PC proficiency/having adequate business knowledge of excel /power-point and CRM.
Environmental Job Requirements And Working Conditions :
- This position requires extensive travel (more than 50%), locally within the city and outside
- All prospective employees must pass a background check.
