Aegon Life - Assistant Branch Head - Direct Channel (2-8 yrs)
KEY PURPOSE :
1. Drive Aegon Relationship Connect (Direct Channel) business for Pune through the company's direct sales force.
2. Lead the team and ensure achievement of the target and brand positioning (including delivery of agreed customer experience for the company.
3. Inculcate and develop a high performance sales culture within the Region's direct sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Strategic :
1. Recruit sales personnel that meet the agreed criteria, ensure sales and product training for all new recruits and continuous development of staff and field force.
2. Execute the business plan for the direct channel in Pune.
3. Provide robust market information on competitive product offerings and inputs on product development.
4. Drive channel support and promotional activities for each customer segment
5. Ensure sales technology is used across sales processes.
6. Drive career plan for sales force as part of the framework to enhance retention and improve productivity.
7. Work harmoniously with related interfaces within the organization.
Financial :
1. Generate business from the Aegon Relationship Connect business customers
1. Execute customer relationship practices to be handled through branch staff.
2. Ensure achievement of target for acquisition of new retail customers from agreed segments in conjunction with the National Sales Manager.
Process :
1. Adhere to all policies and processes set up by the organization.
2. Ensure laid practices and processes are being adhered to by the team.
People :
1. Develop the distribution team for the Region.
2. Provide leadership to the team and ensure achievement of performance level from the team.
3. Inculcate a culture of high performance within the team and take appropriate initiatives for increasing the motivational levels of the employees.

1. Should contribute actively and translate channel strategies into workable action plans.
2. Should be able to understand the financial dynamics of the business and ensure that sales efforts are aligned with targets for bottom line growth.
3. Should exhibit a high level of integrity and lay emphasis on setting ethical standards across the Region. Should be able to lead by example.
4. Should be able to drive a customer first culture within the Region.
5. Should be able to effectively communicate strategies to the team and build, coach, mentor and empower talented and diverse teams.
PROFILE :
1. Should be well versed with the dynamics of the Insurance / financial services industry
2. High credibility in the marketplace.
3. Prior experience in handling a location for at least 2-4 yrs.
